Zachary David Yoder

  • Immediate Position after Pitt: PhD Student and Graduate Researcher, University of Virginia

Mr. Zachary David Yoder joined the ZIP-AM lab in the Fall 2018. He took Dr. Zhao's class of "Special Project" and performed undertraduate research through 2019 spring and summer as well. He paid very close attention to details and was a fast learner. Zach also took initiative to find and understand new information and was not afraid to think out of the box. He was a great communicator and worked well independently and with others.

"Dr. Zhao: Well, graduation is coming fast! I also wanted to say a big thank you for your support as a research mentor, and for helping me with my first experience in academic research. I know I haven’t exactly been the most active researcher in your group, but I am leaving with a ton of excellent experience, and I’m proud of the work that Yue and I were able to accomplish this summer. Your group really seems to be on an upward trajectory, so I am excited to continue to watch for the research that you will produce."
